Tape Deck and Movement / 2012
Video documentation: Raja gallery, Tallinn
This site specific installation uses a modified tape deck and a cassette to work with the motion and sound of the environment. Magnetic tape is guided outside the cassette and through a path that travels up-and-down along the stairs in an endless loop. Using the recording of people passing on the stairs done on the opening with the internal microphone of the tape deck, the motion itself shows an alternative approach to sound movement and it’s involvement with the subject.
